Meet Artem – Building Telegram’s Top Game Platform from the Ground Up

Portrait of Artem – Senior Backend Developer

Artem is a Senior Backend Developer who helped launch and scale some of the most technically complex platforms in our portfolio — including PlayDeck, Tribally, Angelboard, and StockBattle.

He’s the kind of engineer who thinks in systems. Not just lines of code, but scalable architecture, future-proof infrastructure, and user impact. He was one of the key people behind PlayDeck — now the leading game platform in Telegram — building its backend from the ground up.

PlayDeck combines game discovery, bot interaction, in-app purchases (including Stars and TON), leaderboards, and push notifications — all running on a microservice architecture designed for performance, security, and millions of active users.

Before PlayDeck, Artem developed Tribally — an SDK that makes it easy to embed social feeds into mobile apps. That project became the foundation for Angelboard, a decentralized fundraising platform powered by Ethereum. He handled both the architecture and core backend implementation.

At StockBattle, he built a real-time scoring system using WebSockets that helped cut infrastructure costs by 15% and speed up new feature delivery. His work has also powered large-scale RTB systems in programmatic advertising — handling millions of transactions per second with sub-second latency.

His core stack includes Kotlin, Java (11–20), Spring, Redis, Kafka, PostgreSQL, jOOQ, Netty, Web3j, and Solidity. But beyond tools, his value is strategic — he sees how everything fits together and makes systems that stay fast and stable, even as they scale.

At H-Studio, we’re proud to have developers like Artem on board — engineers who not only solve problems, but build foundations.
